Forum discussion: Hi, My 5mbit TekSavvy DSL account just got activated today, and I'm only seeing a download speed of about 3.2mbps - 3.4mbps, when I should be getting atleast into the 4+mbps range. They take the time to talk to you and rectify the situation. My only beef is that they don't offer discounts for long time customers. Also, Teksavvy resells Rogers internet. If there's a problem with Teksavvy internet, there's a problem with Rogers internet. Unless you are purchasing the DSL service, and then it's a Bell issue. These problems are likely directly related to Rogers poorly trying to shape your traffic to prevent you from streaming video online or downloading. I initially chose Teksavvy as they did not have a contract and I only needed service for a short time. Turns out that was the only good thing about the experience. We had problems from the initial installation of internet with the service being far from reliable and dropping 30-50 times a day.
